A wig-maker at the bedside of an old man in night attire who is seated between a dog and a cat. Satirical print to an article by Chateaubriand in the newspaper in October 1818. Nicolas-Toussaint Charlet (Paris 1792 - 1845 Paris), Que dit-on ? demande avec angoisse à son valet de chambre, l'ultra au saut du lit. Pour lui faire la barbe celui-ci sort de son lit sur lequel il reste encore assis entre un chien et un chat. Un vieux perruquier borgne attend le lever d'un vieillard. (Chateaubriand venait de fonder en octobre 1818 le grand journal royaliste Le Conservateur)
